Unlike most brands that fear change, Hyundai embraces it. The Korean automaker starts with a clean slate for each new generation, which is very bold, but not without risk. Fortunately, this approach has consistently paid off for Hyundai.
The manufacturer is not lacking in ambition, and it made that clear in its latest media communication. Hyundai plans to introduce 36 new products by 2030, including all-new models, next-generation versions of current vehicles, and significant updates. It’s a relatively short timeframe, but if there’s one automaker capable of pulling off such a feat, it’s Hyundai.
A Clear Plan
The brand’s goal is to further expand and diversify its lineup in the coming years. This includes everything from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric models, and everything in between. Hyundai also mentioned an electric powertrain with a generator (EREV), a technology we’re eagerly anticipating.
Interest in performance models and variants with enhanced off-road capabilities continues to grow. As a result, the Korean automaker plans to add several N and XRT versions to its lineup over the next few years—great news for brand enthusiasts.
A Local Product
Currently, about 60% of Hyundai vehicles sold in the United States are produced locally. Hyundai aims to increase that figure to 80% through an investment of more than $26 billion to modernize its infrastructure.
Hyundai’s popularity continues to rise in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This wave of new models, combined with increased local production, should allow the automaker to better meet growing demand.
